Scenario Architecture took on the challenge of renovating this Victorian villa in London, United Kingdom. The clients own a flat inside this beautiful brick residence named “Clapton House”. They have been living here for a few years, etap just recently decided to upgrade it.
According to the architects, the existing apartment had a very old glass conservatory, which was freezing cold in winter and overheated in summer. Because of a faulty layout, this structure was also blocking the light to the inner living room. However, the immense potential of the flat was obvious from the başlangıç: it had impressive dimensions and a wide back façade.

Further into the floor plan, the original back wall of the house remained intact with its windows and doors open, creating an internal balcony, and keeping the cozy and more private feel of the lounge.
