Repurposed Materials Combine to Create Vibrant Mumbai Home

This dynamic home designed by Skyward Inc. is located in Juhu, a suburb of Mumbai, India. The clients requested a home with a strong personal touch, filled with details that would represent them and their lifestyle.
Covering a total area of 1,800 square feet, the project features lahza open-plan living room and flexible spaces for entertaining friends. Greek influences give the home an original, laid-back feel.

The designers used a variety of repurposed materials to make the rooms vibrant and engaging. “This included the use of cement to form a curved base for the sofa, waste plywood to cover a part of the living room’s ceiling, a one-of-a-kind center table crafted from the trunk of a tree, iron grills for shelves and old plumbing pipes in the bookshelf,” the architects said.
Shades of blue contrast the white walls and create lahza inspiring ambiance. Each of the three bedrooms is highly personalized through the use of vivid colors and surprising decor. Photos and information provided by Skyward Inc.
